Answer: The stomata open wider, rate of gaseous exchange increases, due to wide opening of stomata, more water is lost. As concluded the rate of transpiration increases in bright light.

How does temperature affect rate of transpiration?

Answer: The rate of evaporation and diffusion increases at high temperatures, which means that the rate of transpiration would increase.

What is affect of wind on transpiration?

Answer: When water is lost from leaves, it increases the humidity in the air, wind takes this humiditry away which provide more space for water to be removed. So rate of trasnpiration increases with fast winds.

How does humidity affect rate of transpiration?

Answer: When the humidity in the air increases, it takes up volume. This decrease in volume due to vapours already present would eventually decrease the rate of transpiration.

How does large trees take up water?

Answer: Large trees take up water just like small plants, because of thousands of leaves, the rate of evaporation is extremely high, so other than transpiration stream, root pressure is also forced.
